Get to know me.

Get to know me.

I’m a UI/UX designer, type enthusiast, and curiosity-driven thinker with a passion for improving every step of the user experience, project by project.

I’m Rachel Kear, a multidisciplinary designer with a strong foundation in UI, UX, and visual systems. I care deeply about making digital experiences intuitive, inclusive, and cohesive, and I bring curiosity and care into every stage of the design process.

I began my career while earning my BFA in Graphic Design, working as part of a small but mighty marketing team of four. Together, we built a department brand from the ground up, creating visual systems, launching event campaigns, and starting websites that helped define the team’s identity and voice.

Since then, I’ve worked across industries including wealth management, insurance, SaaS, and B2B. My work has included leading redesigns to align with updated design guidelines, contributing to WCAG-compliant accessibility improvements, and supporting both user and stakeholder needs. I’ve also led design brainstorms, presented work to stakeholders, contributed to critiques, and stayed adaptable through shifting specs and evolving requirements.

I enjoy solving complex problems through thoughtful design and believe the best solutions often feel effortless to the end user.

My next goals are to deepen my understanding of UX principles, explore new coding languages, and take a break to hike a mountain peak or two, or maybe finish my latest craft project.

Thanks for being here and I appreciate you taking a look around!
